Having talked with thousands of customers over the past four decades we, being my husband Darryl and I, agree that there is no right or wrong in the choice. 1. Shop with your Partner
If you share a bed with a partner, shop together. We sometimes have one partner drop in to our warehouse showroom to try out mattresses in the hope of saving time. But we hate to break it to you, this approach never works.
In almost every case a selection is made optimistically with the promise returning with a partner, just to sign off on the purchase. You can see where this is headed… when both return a completely different mattress is chosen and no time was saved.
2. Speak to a Mattress Expert
Make sure you’re taking to someone who really knows his or her product. Someone who has knowledge and can inform you though experience.
The right sales assistant will ask questions about your needs, sleep habits and what you expect from your perfect mattress. They should be there to guide you through selection process, not to sell the mattress they sleep on or the promotional one with the big ‘discount’. 3. Try Before You Buy
Next Get on the Bed. You can push and sit and bounce but only when you stretch out on a mattress and take the position you usually fall asleep in will you begin to gauge if it has the comfort and support you need. Another trait of a good sales assistant is they will ask you lots of questions.
4. Be Upfront About Your Criteria and Budget
